Jarrod Bowen Had England’s best chance in the opening period, his effort well saved from the opposing goalkeeper. With Quansah staying deep, it fell to him to provide width down the right side yet his deliveries from wide areas varied in quality. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

The captain The decisive figure netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. His first a typical poacher’s finish and his next an excellent header having drifted away from his marker. Now 32, his form is unwavering and the side have every chance next summer when he's in the team. 8

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to influence play from the left. Had a presentable chance when set up by the midfielder however Strakosha made the save. His replacement produced a bigger influence after coming on. 5/10
