The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The influential game designer passed away following his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
